Location & Area
The manufacturing unit is having a steel Re-rolling Mill, which
is situated adjacent to Fatuha Industrial Estate, Patna. The factory
shed and building for re-rolling Mill is spread over an area of
48000 sq. ft. with complete supporting infrastructure.
Technology
The Re-rolling Mill is a state-of-the-art and technically sound
mill for producing consistent quality steel rods and bars. The
Re-rolling Mill is fully equipped with a furnace for pre-heating
ingots and converting it to rods, bars and flats. The steel rolling
stands with required automation are installed as per International
standards and are functioning efficiently.
Power
Power is the second major input for manufacturing steel bars, and
the necessary infrastructure supports constant power supply
requirements. The unit has an in-house power station and the high
tension power supply is fully stabilized with 1050 KVA 33000/433
volts, 3 phase 50 Hz transformer.
Water
The unit is having arrangement of water from deep tube well
installed within the factory premises. The water treatment plant
takes care of the cooling pond and boiler.
Testing facilities
The unit is maintaining modern and well equipped testing
laboratories for regular sampling of steel products for testing.
There is a periodic and timely maintenance of tools and appliances.
Raw Material Supply – Induction Furnace
The unit has installed an Induction Furnace as backward
integration for in-house manufacturing of raw material, i.e. MS
Ingots, and supplying to the rolling mill directly. The induction
furnace is equipped with modern technology in a shed of 21,000 sq.
ft. for producing uniform quality MS Ingots in a cost effective
manufacturing process.
The high tension power supply is fully
stabilized with 3477 KVA 33000/815 volts, 3 phase 50 Hz transformer.
The Water treatment plant including Cooling Tower, D M Water Plant,
Water Softener Plant, Diesel Engine and required Pumps are installed
for the water requirements of the furnace. The furnace shed is
equipped with two overhead extra heavy duty cranes for carrying out
production and stock movement. Further the full fledged laboratory
along with other necessary facilities required for production and
maintenance is available at the site.
Maintenance
The unit ensures routine maintenance and shut down maintenance as
planned with the production schedule internally. The tool room also
takes care of regular maintenance and change of various consumable
parts and components of the induction furnace.
Personnel Management
The human resources at the unit are managed by the Directors
themselves who have long experience in running Re-rolling Mills and
other metallurgy units.
The production line is managed by the floor manager of respective
operational area along with team of technician and trained manpower.
Since the unit has been running since the last 14 years, the
availability of trained manpower is available within the unit.
The unit is having adequate manpower for controlling their quality
assurance and control departments. This helps in maintaining uniform
quality of the products.
The unit also maintains separate maintenance manpower to take care
of the routine interval maintenance and shut down maintenance.
Service from professional fabricating and technical agencies outside
the unit is also taken proactively if required.
Any day-to-day increase in skilled and unskilled manpower
requirements are filled through the local contractors. |
